For many of the great athletes there is often a trade of between being super strong and having long term problems with muscles and joints. Often incorrect training techniques can cause this problem leaving the body vulnerable to strains and sprains especially in joints that take huge forces from impacts and can be weakened in a way that they will not recover. Ankle braces for basketball players are a common additive to their uniform these days since they need to jump high and run fast down the court. Taking the force of large and tall bodies the ankle is subject to many injuries so the ankle braces are the perfect solution.

Protecting your body during training is just as important as protecting it during the game, match or test. Once we break certain parts such as ligaments or tendons there is no getting these joints back to 100% efficiency. Some times we will always feel pain from the injury so the best method is prevention rather than cure.

Just look at the AFL players who break bones and fracture their scull even when they are wearing all the right protective gear. Forward thinking can result in the abstanense of injuries that will last a life time if you are unlucky.
